Born in the Czech Republic, matured in the USA, my love for cruising began in 2008 when I took my first voyage aboard the Carnival Triumph. While many now remember it for the infamous “cruise from hell,” back then, it was a relatively new ship, representing everything that made cruising special. From that moment, I was hooked.
Over the years, I’ve sailed on a variety of cruise lines and ships, but when my son was born, I knew I wanted to focus on a family-friendly cruise experience. That’s when Royal Caribbean International became my go-to, and I quickly understood the phrase “Loyal to Royal.”
Life took an unexpected turn when I became my son’s only surviving parent, leading me to seek a career that allowed me to be present for him while doing something I loved. That’s when I started selling cruises. I still remember the controversial buzz in the industry when Royal Caribbean announced the revolutionary Icon-class ships—everyone was talking about them. But it wasn’t until I stepped aboard Icon of the Seas that I felt something I hadn’t experienced in over a decade—the same feeling of my very first cruise.
